Conduct analysis
Almost every branding and design project begins with a current status analysis. We analyse and synthesise the market, competition, company, product, target groups, etc. If required, we may conduct market research. All findings are evaluated and consolidated into a report. This sets the foundation for the positioning of the brand.
Develop strategy
The next step is to develop the visual brand strategy where we specify the desired brand vision, mission, values, attributes and personality, as well as a high-level design concept. This results in a concise brand blueprint.
Design identity
With this brand blueprint we explore different design concepts and visual territories and test their feasibility.
Refine design
Once a final design concept is chosen it is further refined and all design elements (icon, wordmark, colour system, typography, photography and illustration) are finessed. The final concept and design elements are captured in a brand/style guide.
Deploy
The design concept is then ready for roll-out into its various applications such as stationery, websites, corporate literature, liveries, uniforms, signage, packaging, retail environments, etc. The final step is to launch the new brand. This may include the development of a communication plan, transition plan, road shows and training.
